Summers (June–September) are hot, humid, and rainy, with possible typhoons. Travellers should check weather updates during monsoon season, as storms may affect ferry operations and outdoor tours. Spring (March–May) is mild but can be foggy.

Hong Kong blends Chinese traditions with international sophistication. Locals appreciate politeness, queue discipline, and soft communication. When visiting temples—including Wong Tai Sin Temple, Man Mo Temple, and Po Lin Monastery—modest clothing is recommended, and photography rules should be respected. Bargaining is acceptable in street markets but not in malls.

Hong Kong has one of the world’s most efficient transportation systems. The MTR (Metro) is fast, clean, and connects most tourist attractions. Buses, trams, ferries, and taxis are readily available. The Octopus Card is highly convenient for seamless travel across public transport and payment at shops and attractions. Ferries between Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and outlying islands provide scenic routes.

Hong Kong offers iconic attractions including Victoria Peak (The Peak), Disneyland, Ocean Park, Avenue of Stars, Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car, Big Buddha, Star Ferry, Sky100, and Temple Street Market. Hong Kong has excellent medical facilities with world-class hospitals and clinics. Hydration and sun protection are essential during summer months. Travellers should carry personal medicines, as pharmacies may offer different brands or require prescriptions for certain drugs. During monsoon season, carry rain gear and avoid slippery paths.
